I am currently living in Dubai with my husband, Sim, and our dog, Deke. We are avid travelers but spend our time “at home” in New Orleans, Louisiana, dancing to live music and eating fresh seafood. My love of art began at an early age with coloring books (then sketchbooks) as entertainment on road trips across the U.S.A.
My grandfather taught me to paint and my parents encouraged further study/practice at each juncture in my life. Great studio art teachers of mine include Stephen Wilson, Steve Schmidt, Michael Crespo, Billie Bougeois, Kelli Scott Kelley, and Linda Jeffers.
I am constantly searching and following contemporary painters. Painting lives! A day in Chelsea is to me an unparalleled treat and I try to make a pilgrimage once a year. Biggest historical artistic influences include Richard Diebenkorn, Edward Hopper, Franz Kline, Robert Motherwell, Henri Matisse, and Claude Monet.
I’d love to hear from you.
